  • Can I ask for a Home visit..?

If you are too ill to get to the surgery and think you need a home visit it is very important to ring early in the morning. When you or your carer informs the receptionist that you think a home visit is needed, your details will be taken and the call passed on to our triage nurses. The nurse will then make an assessment of your case and, if a home visit is assessed as being necessary, then the nurse will arrange for the visit to be done by the On-Call GP. Wherever possible we encourage patients to attend the surgery as the facilities, lighting and equipment available in the surgery are far better than those available for home visits. We do, of course, acknowledge that for some patients, attending the surgery is not possible.

  • Can I view my medical records?

Under the Data Protection Act patients have the right to view their medical records. To do so please contact the Practice Manager. Please note that there may be a small charge for doing so. Patients can also view a summary of their patients records online using the 'E-Access' system which is accessed via the icon on the website front page. To do so patients should first register to use the system by asking for their unique logging on details at the reception desk desk. They will also be asked to sign a consent form.
